Memo

Preparations for the Maker Fair

MEMORANDUM To: Event staff, Brindlewick Events From: Nadia Bellrose, Event Coordinator Date: September 8 Subject: Arrangements for the September 19 Maker Fair

Registration for our first Maker Fair has exceeded expectations. We have therefore booked the adjoining garden room at Alderquay Hall to accommodate additional exhibitors. Please use the revised floor plan attached to this memo when assigning tables. The original plan no longer reflects the space available.

The main hall will feature furniture and household goods, while the garden room will contain jewelry and textiles. All exhibitors must finish unloading by 9:15 a.m., when the delivery entrance closes. The fair opens to visitors at 10:00 a.m.

Several exhibitors have asked whether they can leave their displays overnight before the fair. Although our rental agreement gives us access to the building on September 18, security coverage does not begin until the following morning. We cannot accept responsibility for items left unattended.

Please keep the central aisle in the garden room clear. We will need that space for a weaving demonstration at 2:00 p.m. Portable chairs will be brought in shortly beforehand and removed afterward.

Team leaders should brief their volunteers on these arrangements before Friday. Send any questions about table assignments directly to me; the venue's reception staff do not have our exhibitor list.

Tips for Part 7

  • Read the questions first, then find the answer in the passage.

  • For a sentence-insertion question, read the sentences on both sides of each marker.
