MEMO

From: Lenora Voss, Purchasing Manager
Date: April 6
Subject: Equipment evaluation requirements
We will purchase one floor-cleaning machine for the entrance hall at Merrowick Conference Center. The attached schedule lists the supplier demonstrations arranged for April 12.
Our spending limit is $8,000, including delivery. Because the hall must remain available during daytime events, the machine needs to run on batteries. A model requiring a power cable would interfere with visitors moving through the building. Delivery must take place by April 30 so that staff can practice before the May conference season.
Please assess cleaning performance throughout each demonstration. The final fifteen minutes of every session are reserved for noise testing. Our maintenance technician, Dorian Pell, will join us for those portions only.
Suppliers have submitted firm prices, so we should not expect further reductions. After the demonstrations, send me a recommendation supported by the requirements above.
